Three tunes played on my Bart Reiter Fretless Standard Banjo

Tunaday #210 - In Open D tuning with raised 5th (aDF#AD).

A very amateur sound clip of Deep Elem Blues, made more to demonstrate banjo sound than to show off any real playing skills.

Here is the first time I got the tune. It is Andy Porter at the beginning and the rest of us coming in as we "get" it. Annie Trimble on guitar, me and Emmy T on fiddles.

Here is me playing it "up to speed" - interpretive or off the cuff so to speak as you might jam it.

It has been about 2 months since I learned the tune and my band has been playing it. Here is a recording of how it has developed from this week's jam session at the house. 5 fiddlers, one guitar and one bass. No banjo as George is north for the summer avoiding the Tucson heat!
