From a late night Clifftop 2016 session with Rhys Jones and Tashina Clarridge, fiddles; Brendan Doyle, banjo; Erica Weiss, guitar; Simon Chrisman, bass. Recorded by Keith Stubbs.
English polka from Northumberland. Sometimes just called "Salmon Tails". This is a recording I made for teaching the tune, so please forgive the audio quality. Uploaded for Clawhammer TOTW 19th of August 2016.
I learned the basic arrangement from Jerry Douglas' album "Glide". Not sure who was the banjo player on that cut. All the other licks I just found through experimentation.
Just got my mahogany style 3 back together. I have the no hole Memphis Belle ring on a Cox 2-ply maple rim. Slingerland rim (Birdseye maple) bridge. Just got a new pc and I'm trying to learn how to navigate Windows 10. I downloaded the latest version of Audacity and wanted to try it out.
Playing Five Speed at a jam I run in South London. Me on banjo, Jimmy Lin on fiddle and Jack Baker on guitar. This is my Nechville Zeus, with the Timbr-tronic tone ring.
