This is too good a song to not see the light of day.

Waitin' for a Train by Galen Anderson

Arranged by Howard C. Anderson

I can see him in the early morning light

sitting by a fire after a long cold night

bundled up against the cold and rain

All alone just waitin’ for a train

Waitin' for a train

just waitin' for a train

Trying to find the answer through the pain

in a bottle and a train.

Once he had a family and a life

Three children and a lovely wife

now he's a man without a name,

all alone, just wait in' for a train

Waitin' for a train

just waitin' for a train

Trying to find the answer

through the pain in a bottle and a train.

Empty box cars, rid in' the rails

waking up in the county jail

nothing to lose, and nothing he can win

dying alone, just waitin' for a train

Waitin' for a train

just waitin' for a train

Trying to find the answer through the pain

in a bottle and a train

in a bottle and a train

in a bottle and a train

in a bottle and a train
