Mark graduated from the Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, one of the premier environmental institutions in the country. In 1994, Mark graduated from Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon with a Master of Divinity with a special emphasis upon New Testament Greek. Mark is married to Caren. Mark and his family were missionaries to the former Soviet Union for 7 years. He is now a pastor but still spends considerable time on the mission field. Mark is a contributing author for the American Thinker, and has written a number of articles for other national media websites. Mark is a conference speaker, and writes for the Cornwall Alliance, which is a coalition of clergy, theologians, religious leaders, scientists, academics, and policy experts committed to bringing a balanced biblical view of stewardship to the critical issues of environment and development.
