Barely Alive Podcast

WOW THAT WAS A LONG MONTH. We know it's been a while since we had a show but we're back once again for your earholes! This week's episode celebrates one of the toughest professions, Nursing! We have friends and family who are in the nursing profession and we appreciate their hard work! However, nobody tells stories from the hospital like Keith does! A friend of the show and nursing pro himself, Keith stops by to tell us just what these hardworking individuals do on a daily basis, the importance of prescription abuse awareness, and we have a lot of laughs as well!

Season 6 of The Walking Dead is almost upon us! To get amped up for the new season this week we chat with Vincent M. Ward. Fans of the show will remember him as Oscar in the prison from Season 3. Vincent dishes about what it was like on the show, his Ohio roots, and the power of Eargasms! This is one episode you don't want to miss!!

It's a special episode of snacks, alcohol, humor, and zero transition. On this episode we talk to Jen Bartels from the TruTV show "Friends of the People"! Jen talks about what it's like doing the show, her latest work on ladyfreakcomedy.com, working with pro wrestlers, and how awesome it is to know Kate MacKinnon!

What do you get when you mix New Orleans, haunted houses, horror make up, titties, liquor, and a cool reality show? A conversation with Kelly Harris of course! The Season 8 contestant from SyFy's "Face Off" joins us for a few laughs and some behind the scenes scoop on one of our favorite shows! A perfect kickoff to our Halloween season! (Yes for us it starts in September.)

This week we have talented up and coming actress Cortney Palm! She has been featured in movies such as "Sushi Girl" alongside Mark Hamill and Tony Todd, as well as the cult favorite "Zombeavers". Cortney keeps it real as she dishes on the film industry, how she got started, animal rights, and more.

Stay up to date on this page as well as our facebook and twitter feed @BarelyAliveShow for a kickstarter link to support one of her latest projects "Bond: Kizuna".

A very special episode for the loyal listeners! Adult film legend Nina Hartley joins the show to talk about sex, politics, and sexual politics! One of the most fun conversations we have ever had with anyone!

Nina is also affiliated with the Woodhull Sexual Freedom Alliance. The group is an advocate of sexual freedoms and human rights. If you would like to learn more or to donate to their cause please visit www.woodhullalliance.org.

We are happy to invade your ear holes once again!! On this show Kyle tells of his turn to go to a wedding, the guys talk about multitasking in bed, and Bubba tells a story of his mini/half stroke he had while driving to work. The computer and the mixer didn't completely agree on this show either but we still appreciate you listening and we will keep working on getting the quality back to normal.

Our friend Liz stops by to answer your odd animal questions, or just odd questions in general. Keep in mind her advice is for entertainment purposes only and if you actually have problems don't be dumb, see a professional.

In this very sports-heavy edition of the podcast we discuss our thoughts on WWE Battleground and more specifically whether or not Brock Lesnar (Bork Laser) made the right career choice by going back to WWE instead of the UFC. We also discuss how nobody cares about All Star Games, especially the MLB game. We try to come up with some improvements but you can't really improve something that's so bad you'd rather just throw it away, right?

We just won't go away so SORRY NOT SORRY. On this episode, we discuss odd halls of fame, whether or not we are hall of fame worthy, and the evolution of The Weather Channel.
