Gracie Tampa South Black Belt, Kevin Gallagher, stopped by the studio today to talk about the religion of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.  The first thing you notice about Kevin is that he has no ego and lost all pretensions ages ago.  The next thing you notice is this old grizzly bear is battle tested and not to be trifled with.  The consummate professor, student and gentleman, Kevin has devoted his life to the pursuit and promotion of the gentle art.  What a great guy and great chat!

The Alec Baldwin of Barely Legal Podcast, Shawn Kyle, came back to add to my historical understanding of our beloved local music scene as well as to hypothesize on how current events may be a blessing and a curse to the longevity of local music.  Always colorful, always eloquent and always interesting...Shawn is always a good time.  Plus I think we need a cleaning crew to sweep up all the names we collectively dropped.

Tyler Coy, or "Pandapaws" as you might know him is somewhat of a polymath...between his beginnings in theater, teaching music, web marketing, his old band New Fang and his current project Pandapaws...Tyler's reach is vast, but earnest and heartfelt, and you only need to listen to his performance during our show of his song "L’appel Du Vide"...BLOWN AWAY is all I can say.  Follow this guy and listen to our interview...you won't regret it!

Joey Redner has been a bucket list guest and man did he exceed expectations.  If you grew up locally you know the name and more recently the empire he built with Cigar City Brewing.  Joey is self made and self educated which has made his unique skill set highly sought after.  Even though he's sold CCB, he still sits on the board as well as running any number of new ventures, including a new one with Coffee.  People who've never heard the podcast always ask me what a good episode to start with would be.  Today I have a new answer. 

Celebrity tattoo artist and rising star in the world of Computational Theory of the Mind, Walter Lopez stopped by to discuss his early days as a Honduran Morman Skateboarder, his adventures in psychedelics, his work with the world renowned  REDLETTER1 tattoo collaborative and striking out on his own.  If you're a Rogan fan, this is THE most "Rogany" episode to date.  Walter is super smart and an amazing artist.  Stay tuned!!

Damn Spoon Douglas is cool!  One of the chillest easiest conversations I've had in awhile.  It doesn't hurt that he's a ridiculously gifted artist, guitarist, bassist, etc.  Between his projects Pilot Jonezz, Unknown Vices and Actual Tree he gets to scratch a lot of different itches artistically.  Check out his work on SoundCloud and check out this episode next week.  Peace & Love.

Our second guest today is Brewmaster and lead singer for The Path of Increased Indifference, Tim Ogden.  Hailing from Maine and a huge fan of the Boston Hardcore Scene, Tim picked up a guitar at 15 and never looked back.  Along the way he became somewhat of a local celebrity in the craft beer world, working with Cigar Bity Brewing, and is now set to begin his new venture with Deviant Libation which will have a presence at The Peninsularium when it opens.  Tim is good people and he's following his dreams.  I'm loving his band, think Fear + High on Fire + Dillinger Escape Plan.
