Episode 71: Elf’s Lament
Ever wanted to know what it sounds like when a person throws away their pride and humility? Make sure you listen to the end of this week’s episode. There is my lament about doing this episode. But first, listen in to hear Blake Reilly from several Filling The Void Podcast Network’s shows talk about the Christmas [should be a classic] “Elf’s Lament. We are sorry to say that Aaron can’t join us. He will be lamenting missing this episode, just like Michelle is lamenting showing up to hear my bad jokes. Fun times for all!

Episode 70: Easy
This week we are laying back and taking it easy (no, not the Eagles’ song) while Aaron continues to search for the Lost Jedi, Steven Page. Come on, Aaron. We are on Order 70 already. This should have been easy. To replace him, we have Enid… yes, that Enid… to talk about “Easy”. I know we make this podcasting stuff look easy, but it’s really hard to do all the scheduling. But we are really happy to have Enid on our show!

It’s that time of the year again. Yep. Spring Cleaning. The Easter Bunny has destroyed our house and it really needs a good dusting anyway. Kevin is right. No one wants to stay in these dirty dusty rooms. So while we clean our houses and you clean yours, why don’t you listen to this week’s episode. Aaron is now on his mission to destroy the ex-Jedi known as Steven Page. We will find him. Order 66 must be fulfilled. I mean, we are already on Order 69 and Steven Page is still free.

Red Green would probably approve of today’s episode and song. We are talking about how to do open heart surgery using polyethylene coated pressure sensitive tape, and whether it is really a good idea. We have Aaron around for one more week as he prepares for his trip to find the rogue Jedi Steven. But we are certain that Steven won’t be able to touch his duct tape heart.

Episode 67: Drawing
I can’t remember the episode that we are discussing this week. It’s weird. I’m Drawing a blank. But BNL didn’t. We don’t have Aaron this week, but we have a special guest, one of the writers for Get Barenaked and Barenaked News, Mil Feirn. And they give an amazingly different view of Kevin and this song. Does this change Tracy’s history of disliking Kevin songs? Listen in to find out.

Episode 66: Down To Earth
It is time for Order 66, bring all the Jedi back down to earth and bury them in it. Wait. Wrong situation. Sorry. That is the other part of our webpage. This is Episode 66 where we talk about “Down To Earth”. Aaron will be gone for over a month soon, so enjoy one of the last episodes before we send him on assignment (don’t worry, I hope to still get his analysis from the field).

We must live in the South Africa, because it is getting warmer, but it is Christmas time again. I’m not really sure how this works or why it keeps happening. I mean, I know life goes faster as you age, but this is getting ridiculous. Well, anyway, this week our “supergroup” discusses the BNL cover of the 80’s original supergroup. Do we spread the love or Hater-Aid?

Dance Aid (1994) really fast techno https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oyVzSrLozTM&feature=youtu.be

Echoing Green (1999) – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wsyen2xoorM Wonder what it would sound like with new age-y music in background and a “not quite Donny Ozmond”, waiting for a nice massage, but then want to turn it techno and dance on that massage table… that’s what you get here.

Episode 64: “Buddy Holly”
Sixty years ago, Buddy Holly, Big Bopper, and Richie Valens all died in a plane crash because Buddy wanted to get to the next concert quicker so that he would have time to do his laundry before the show. True story. It was the day the music died. And this week, is another week that the music died as we discuss the Barenaked Ladies cover of “Buddy Holly” by Weezer. Recorded in 1991 during their Yellow Tape sessions, this rarity should have stayed hidden, but you decide.

Does that mean I can say whatever I want here because it is written, so it isn’t out loud? Well, this week we say a lot of things out loud. We talk about Grinning Streak quite a bit. No editing this week because whatever we said out loud will remain said. And make sure you stick around for the music at the end for a new segment.

Episode 62: Melanie Doane Interview
We are joyous to push off another song for a week so that we can talk with Melanie Doane, with whom the Ladies worked recently to raise money for the USchool charity. They recorded a song “Joy To The World” with the USchool students. This is an amazing charity and Melanie is an intelligent and engaging guest, as well as a brilliant singer/songwriter/teacher on her own. Please join us this week as we talk with the wonderful Melanie Doane!
