For this episode of Brewstilled, I’ll be telling the story of Bobby Layne, one of the NFL’s original great Quarterbacks. Layne was known for his football mind, elite play on the field and also for his tenure with the Detroit Lions. Yet, in 1958 the Lions traded him to the Pittsburgh Steelers. It was then said that Bobby Layne cursed the Detroit Lions by saying they would never win for another 50 years. Does the ghost of Bobby Laynes curse haunt the Detroit Lions?
