The idea of learning to be a good communicator is a lifetime journey. Within that journey there are certain skills you need to develop:

• body language/delivery mechanics
• build your command presence
• reduce the distractions for your audience
• promote your sense of authority and balance that with your sense of presence
• the length of your sentence (look for sound bytes)

The average person listens for 4 seconds. So the most important part of your message is the beginning and the end.

The highest goal of communication at 100,000 feet is about three goals

• How do I build trust with my listener?
• How do I build a relationship with them?
• How do I keep them engaged?
