Was able to remove and recycle the 8 heavy golf cart batteries and got a single 52V 100Ah LiFePO4 battery from DC House for $924. Battery has a bluetooth BMS and supports 200A continuous, 280A max (30s), and 670A max (0.5s). If I end up needing more current or greater capacity I can add another identical battery and wire it in parallel.
