It's been 1 year since our god-awful first episode was released, and we are once again celebrating la fête nationale, this time with guests!

We've pulled out all the stops for an international panel of RexyPods (podcasts with formats inspired by Rex Factor) that are also coming up to their first birthday. The six of us hosts discuss our process when it comes to podcasting about our historical niches, from our origins as friends and hosts to the eternal battle with temperamental technology and rude reviews.

Tudoriferous critiques the various movers and shakers of Tudor England and beyond, acclaimed for its rigorous detail and charming wit. Its hosts, who alternate their roles, are British author Lucy Hinds and Canadian polymath Michelle Weisgerber. Each week, they pick a new person from a hat, discover some fascinating connections that weave their subjects' lives together, and test each other in the world's most ruthless quiz.

Ranking '76 ranks the most notorious figures of America's cowboy golden age, from Billy the Kid to Annie Oakley, in the quest to find the ultimate hero and villain for a hypothetical Western film. It is hosted by the erudite Eric Nickelson and his "cartoon" friend Matt Jackson. Over the course of 76 episodes, Matt and Eric each assemble a fantasy football-style draft of western figures to face off in a series of final duels.

Whether you're considering getting involved in podcasting or popular history, or are just interested in learning more about us, this episode is a great learning experience. It was also a delight to record!
