Introvert definition -
a person who is predominantly focused on internal thoughts and feelings rather than on external things or social interaction, often characterized as being quiet or withdrawn.
Most artists identify as introverts. Being an introvert can affect our business when it comes to marketing our work. It can also mean we become sucked into the void of our studio for days, accentually becoming a hermit. When it comes to social events such as art shows and NCECA, or even just simple social media interactions - being introverted can take a toll on the way we navigate through life as an artist. Lately I've been struggling to read the room to know when the right time is to let my extroverted-self come out to play. On this episode you'll hear from two extroverted introverts riding the waves of an artistic lifestyle.

This is something new for Batty Bitches! My first initial thought for the podcast was to take my critique blog and turn it into a podcast. Well, I'm finally doing it! I believe having someone of a similar field provide constructive criticism about your creations can be beneficial to your future work.
My first Cave Critique is with Morgan Greenhaw of Moonshine Ceramics. On this episode we dive into Morgan's inspiration and creation process. We learn about her reasons for naming glaze combinations and writing inspirational quotes on the bottom of the mugs from her collection "Glazed + Confused" and how these names and quotes reflect back to the texture and visual aspects of the glaze. After the critique, Morgan and I get into some random ceramic topics such as underglaze, glazes, and (hopefully) a future group endeavor to NCECA.
