New York State Governor Kathy Hochul finally released a statement on the ongoing corrections officers strike, urging them to stop, saying she will deploy the National Guard if this continues to go unresolved, and concluding by saying "Do what's right. Do your jobs" Corrections officers, and family of corrections officers, what's your message to Kathy Hochul.
Also, we learned during the program, we learned New York State filed an injunction under the Taylor Law, and a state judge filed a TRO, prohibiting corrections officers from striking or otherwise engaging in other concerted work stoppages or slowdowns.
