Governor Newsom is expected to veto a bill that would have required a trained human behind the wheel of driverless trucks for at least five years. Advocates for the bill argue that AV trucks are not deemed safe enough.

Labor groups and fast-food companies in California have come to an agreement which includes bumping up the minimum salary for workers to $20 dollars an hour, narrowly avoiding a ballot fight over Assembly Bill 12-28.

The compromise also means that franchise corporations will not be held responsible for workforce violations at individual restaurants, a term that's been a major sticking point in negotiations.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy does plan to endorse an impeachment inquiry into President Biden aiming to get bank records and other documents from the president and his son, Hunter Biden.

It's a busy week ahead for San Francisco, Dreamforce is returning to the City tomorrow and will last until Thursday. 43,000 people are expected to come back for the tech conference at the Moscone Center this week. But this event is a huge test for the city, as Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff says Dreamforce could relocate next year if the City's street conditions don't improve. A salty sailor now has until high noon today to remove his boat or it’s "days on the water" are done. He showed up in bare feet to try and convince a federal court judge to give him more time to remove his landlocked sailboat which has sat idle on Marin County’s Stinson Beach for six weeks.

In other news; California’s abortion rates have gone up by roughly 16% since 2020 -  the state with the second-highest increase in the country.  The VTA could soon be a place to find Narcan for those who need it.

The G-20 summit is underway in New Delhi, India with international leaders gathering to talk about a global economic plan given rising costs from the war in Ukraine and climate change.
