North Bay Jobs with Justice, a coalition centered out of Santa Rosa, has organized a series of protests to pressure the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors to fulfill a list of demands that would ensure safety for farmworkers during wildfire season. 

On Monday, producer Sydney Fishman attended the coalition's event in Santa Rosa, "Voices from the Frontline," to understand how farmworkers are advocating for themselves.....and how they will prepare for California's wildfire season.

This year, the annual 4/20 celebration is back on at Golden Gate Park's "Hippie Hill,"  where cannabis smokers from far and wide come together on April 20th every year to honor the herb.

But after two years off due to the pandemic, the rules have changed and the event is more commercial than it's ever been. 116 years ago today, 80% of San Francisco was in ruins and days later would be in ashes after a 7.9 magnitude earthquake rocked the city and the Bay Area at 5:12 am.  It set off a series of fires that leveled virtually the entire city, leaving more than half of its more than 400,000 residents homeless.
