Today marks the one year anniversary of President Joe Biden's swearing in. It also marks, arguably, the lowest point during the young Biden administration, following a losing vote in the Senate on voting rights, low poll numbers, the ongoing omicron surge, and a standoff with Russia on the Ukraine border.
KCBS Radio political reporter Doug Sovern and Matt Pitman discuss why things have gone wrong for President Biden and if they can be fixed.

Omicron is just the latest sage in the nearly two year struggle for restaurants in the pandemic. Staffing shortages as more employees come down with COVID, supply chain disruptions, more customers choosing not to dine out. Those are just a few of the problems.
Yesterday, restaurant owners took part in a day of action and asked patrons to do the same, hoping to spur action in Congress for much needed aid.
Guests: Chef David Nayfeld of San Francisco's Che Fico. And KCBS Radio's Kathy Novak.

The highly contagious nature of the omicron variant has made testing a front and center issue. But questions about the accuracy of at-home tests, supply shortages of at-home tests and PCR tests at overburdened hospitals, combined with confusing guidance from the CDC, leave many wondering about the best way to go about testing.
Bay Current host Matt Pitman and KCBS Radio's Keith Menconi discuss testing and what the best practices are if you think you need to be tested.

Attendance is low. Some students haven't even returned since winter break. Rapid test kits and proper masks are at a premium. Social distancing is sometimes impossible. Yet teachers are being asked to carry on with in-person learning amid rising infections and uncertainty.
