  • How a YouTuber used a live stream to try and cover murder | BBC News
Warning: This video contains details some viewers may find distressing.
Cold-blooded, brutal and outlandish - if the plan Stephen McCullagh set in motion to kill his pregnant partner was the plot of one of his video games, it might have been dismissed as being too far-fetched.
But, from the content creator's first appearance in court in early 2023, it was clear authorities believed he had not only murdered Natalie McNally but also carefully constructed an elaborate house of cards to avoid justice.
Three years after being charged, a five-week trial exposed his lies to a jury.

  • Iran: The civilian toll of war | Global News Podcast
Data examined by the BBC shows the devastating impact of the intense attacks on Iran's capital, Tehran, since the start of the US-Israeli war. According to the findings, Israel has dropped 3,600 munitions on the city in the last four weeks.
Almost 40 police stations and bases of the paramilitary Basij force have been hit — many in residential areas. Footage gathered by independent journalists from the city's Resalat area shows a flattened apartment building. Locals say 40 or 50 people were killed in an attack there two weeks ago.
The Israel Defense Forces confirmed they were responsible for the attack, saying they "struck a military target". The US Department of Defense did not respond to BBC's requests for comment.
We speak to the BBC's senior international investigations correspondent Nawal Al-Maghafi.

  • What is RFK doing to vaccines for children in America? | BBC News
A federal judge has temporarily blocked the Trump administration from making big changes to vaccines for children in the United States. It’s a blow to Health Secretary Robert F Kennedy - RFK Jr - a longtime vaccine sceptic who was given free rein by Donald Trump to “go wild with health”.
Since taking office a year ago, Kennedy has sought to slash the number of recommended shots for children from 17 to 11. The American Academy of Paediatrics and other large medical groups have sued, saying Kennedy's changes violate federal law and are based on ideology instead of science.
In this episode, Marianna and Justin unpack what this means for Donald Trump’s big plan to - as he puts it - "Make America Healthy Again” with Dr Debra Houry, the former director of the CDC (Centre of Disease Control and Prevention) who resigned in August 2025.
