Episode 48 of B.Boomer Unleashed, "Why Gun Control Won't Stop Gun Violence (Part 6)" is the first part of a two episode discussion regarding some common sense things we can do to keep our children and grandchildren safe at school. To assume that your children and grandchildren are perfectly safe when they arrive at school is a common misconception. That being said, we can do more to keep our students safe. It is time consuming and costly, but our kids are worth it. You have the right to demand that your local Boards of Education do everything within their power to make sure your child doesn't become a statistic. We will conclude this discussion in Episode 49. In Episodes 50-52, we will discuss the history of Christmas throughout the years, and our 53rd episode will conclude our first year of our podcast with a discussion on New Year's Resolutions and what we may expect in 2020. Episode 43 of B.Boomer Unleashed "Why Gun Control Won't Stop Gun Violence (Part 2)" focuses on violence as a whole in the United States and around the world, and how the argument for taking away gun rights every time a mass shooting takes place, is just about as rational as outlawing Passenger Jets because of what happened on September 21, 2001. You'll be surprised that The United States has only one school massacre in the top 10 school massacres worldwide. One death of a child in any school, is too many, but how do these tragedies compare with other violent acts worldwide. In Episode 44 we will cite specific examples of what some school systems are doing right, and what far too many school systems continue to do wrong, which places our precious children in harms way. Episode 42 of B.Boomer Unleashed Why Gun Control Won't Stop Gun Violence (Part 1) establishes the parameters of our discussion over the next few weeks. There is without a doubt, more gun violence in America than we have experienced since the Civil War. That being said, more restrictive gun laws will have no effect on this phenomenon. We present our case by presenting to you the massive quantity of gun control legislation which has been enacted since the ratification of The Second Amendment to the Constitution. We will use this historical context as a springboard for our discussion which will include the many errors which have been made by school systems and local authorities to prevent gun violence without disarming law abiding citizens. Make no mistake, the Socialists are coming for our guns, and their motivation has nothing to do with public safety, but everything to do with government control of our lives. They completed step one by crushing our First Amendment rights. They are now going after The Second Amendment. The founding fathers gave us a right to keep and bear arms for a reason. If we allow the Socialists to disarm us, we will understand why they inserted The Second Amendment into our Constitution. In this series we will try to offer some common sense solutions to make our students, church-goers, and the public at large safer from these senseless acts of violence.
