Shared stories are the common thread between every religion, culture, nation, and community. We not only naturally tell stories but we also actively live and create our own. Bryan hosts actress, master acting coach, author and former casting director Jane Drake Brody (HBO’s Somebody Somewhere) to discuss the historic roots of storytelling, the archetypes we all continue to embody, and how all of this knowledge relates in a modern context.

Additional Biography:
Jane’s decade spanding career as a citizen of the theater has included, her founding her own acting school, The Audition Center in Chicago, IL now known as Acting Studio Chicago, founding her own casting house, Jane Brody Casting, and teaching scores of students the craft of acting as a master acting coach at numerous universities and conservatories, notably as an Associate Professor of Theatre at the Theatre School, Depaul University, Chicago, IL and the Head of Undergraduate Acting at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
She is the author of two books: "Acting, Archetype, and Neuroscience" (Routledge) which examines the use of neuroscience for directors and performers in all mediums, and "The Actor's Business Plan" (Bloomsbury) which focuses on creating a satisfying career and happy life for actors.
Jane has won multiple awards, most notably a CSA Artios award for her work on the Coen Bros film, "Fargo". She also received the Los Angeles Weekly's Best Actress Award for the lead role in "Absent Friends" produced by Jean Stapleton.
