The Black College Sports Network had a conversation with Bethune-Cookman Athletic Director Lynn Thompson the day after Bethune-Cookman University's historic decision to move all athletic programs from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) to the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) beginning July 1, 2021.

Hosted by Roy Eavins and featuring Bryan Fulford & A.D. Drew from the BCSN SportsWrap, as well as Dr. Kenyatta Cavil from Dr. Cavil's Inside the HBCU SportsLab, the roundtable discussion explores all the details that went into the decision to move conferences after 40 years with the MEAC.

After the official announcement that Bethune-Cookman University was going to be joining the Southwestern Athletic Conference, the Black College Sports Network hosted a live reaction show to discuss the news and the impact it would have on the landscape of HBCU athletics.

Host Roy Eavins lead the episode beginning with Dr. Kenyatta Cavil of Dr. Cavil's Inside the HBCU SportsLab, and A.D. Drew of the BCSN SportsWrap. Later in the episode, BCSN SportsWrap co-host Bryan Fulford joins the discussion, and then Michael Coker from BlackCollegeNines.com offers his thoughts on how  B-CU makes the SWAC a stronger baseball conference. Before concluding, SWAC Commissioner Dr. Charles McClelland comes on to share his thoughts and answer some questions about the conference's 12th member in 2021.

In this BCSN Conversation, Bryan and A.D speak with Thomas "Snacks" Lee who recently graduated from Jackson State university and was a team manager for the JSU Men's Basketball program.  Thomas had been a manager for the program since arriving at JSU as a freshman. On senior night, he was given an opportunity to dress and if the opportunity presented itself, enter the game.  The opportunity arrived and Thomas had a shining moment that caught the attention of the world. We spend time learning more about that moment, Thomas himself, and his future goals and aspirations.   

NOTE: This conversation was recorded before Thomas' moment became recognized as one of ESPN's top 16 moments in sports from the past year via their sports awards show, the ESPYs.  It was selected to be part of the ESPYs "Can't Stop Watching" contest where fans can vote for the favorite moment of the season in a bracket-style contest.  On June 16, the "Snacks" moment became one of the final four after defeating a moment by Olympic and World Champion Simone Biles.  The ESPYs will announce the winner on Sunday June 21, 2020.
