Renee Falkner starts off by recognizing that 60% of Missouri schools have less than 1000 students, and another 40% less than 500 students, and these may NOT have a facility manager to navigate through all the issues in the same way as larger districts in the state.  School nurses have had to step up and learn more.  She talks about the Missouri Kids Team program

Terri Hansen talks about the fact that all departments, including nurses, started to learn about issues and solutions outside of nursing during the COVID era.  She mentions studies that support the issue of masking full-time may be harmful as well.

Deb Cook joins in when we talked about so-called "air fresheners", that also created respiratory issues with some of the kids.  

Issues from negative IAQ:

• asthma

Triggers can be many things, many obnoxious odors such as buses idling, art supplies, cooking, etc.

10% of children have Asthma.  Food allergies have tripled over the last 10 years.

Renee states, that what doesn't bother you may set off issues for others.
