What a weekend! We open by discussing UFC 261's electric main event and then we get to the NYK! After a thrilling overtime win versus the Hawks, the Knicks picked up another victory at MSG this afternoon against the Raptors. They have now won nine consecutive games and have sole possession of the fourth seed. RJ Barrett & Julius Randle continue to shine, as the guard play in the absence of playmaker Alec Burks also remains incredibly resilient. This is all while the bigs keep proving how solid they are game after game. Guys are stepping up defensively as they've been all year while the offense has taken it to another level. Tom Thibodeau has got this Knicks unit playing on a different planet right now. Let's talk about it.

The New York Knicks are scorching hot. Will they ever lose again? Probably not. Will RJ Barrett ever miss another corner three? Probably not. Will Julius Randle ever cool off? Probably not either. Randle is on a string of three games where he's scored 30 or more. RJ Barrett also bounced back on Friday with a big performance where he dropped 13 of his 24 in the fourth to defeat the Mavs. Tingus Pingus takes the L! There are so many things to be upset about when it comes to this Yankees team lately, but after losing another series and having to hear Aaron Boone talk positives, we dedicated most of this episode to him. I am exhausted.

The Knicks have done an excellent job bouncing back from adversity this season. They did just that on their three-game homestand. Following the exciting victory against Memphis, the 'Bockers got revenge on the Raptors on Sunday and handled a banged up Lakers team on Monday. RJ Barrett, Julius Randle, and even Elfrid Payton have played sharp offensively of late, but the team defense -- lead by Nerlens & Taj -- has been absolutely incredible. The Yankees dropped two of three games at the Trop this weekend. The first two contests were as pathetic as can be. The Yankees got no length from their starters as Corey Kluber lasted just an out into the third and Domingo Germán was optioned after four rough innings. They also got very little out of their bats. But in the third game of the set Aaron Boone's squad woke up on both ends. Jordan Montgomery grinded through five plus while the pen held it down for the next five. Newest Yankee Rougned Odor collected his first hit in style, giving the Bombers the win in extras. Gio Urshela also chipped in big with four hits. The Knicks took an extremely disappointing loss in Boston for their second in a row. It dropped them to eighth in the East and two games under .500. The rebounding was piss poor and so was the execution late. But Tom Thibodeau's squad is resilient. The Knicks bounced back with a big overtime victory tonight against the Grizzlies. RJ Barrett was flawless down the stretch while Alec Burks hit some more key buckets as well. That and more in the latest episode of the pod!

The Yankees looked strong for two games against the O's on Monday & Tuesday but could not complete the sweep Wednesday. An extra inning loss saw the Yankees' 12-game home streak versus Baltimore come to an end. Jameson Taillon and the pen held it down together, but Gleyber Torres' late error hurt New York big as well as the lineup's inability to hit in the clutch. The Yankee bats will have their hot & cold moments, but Torres' defense is becoming the biggest concern for me.
