The Knicks picked up what might have been their biggest and best win of the season last night. They defeated the 76ers despite being down an entire 21 points early on. The second unit came through strong with some great defense, scoring, and ball movement all night. We go over the specifics of the game, talk about last night's episodes of "The Last Of Us" and "1923", the Kyrie Irving trade, and more!

At MSG tonight, the Knicks could not get it done in OT despite mustering up a big fourth quarter comeback against the Clippers. Brunson gave his best effort, but the Knicks made a number of mistakes. They didn't take care of the ball in overtime, they were late closing out on shooters all night, and they missed a very timely rebound at the end of regulation. Oh yeah, and they were beat by Paul George & Kawhi Leonard. You know...star players. Tough loss, and a pretty unaffordable one given the current standings and schedule ahead.

It was not always pretty -- especially down the stretch -- but they pulled it out and are now just one back from the all-important No. 6 spot in the East. We go over the game, talk about the defensive strategies on both sides, why the Knick offense was sputtering, the ball movement, RJ's bounce-back, the fourth quarter offense, the Kyrie news, and lots more.

This bothered me. It was a big loss to the Lakers last night, given the Knicks' standings and schedule ahead. But once again, lacking a superstar killed them. Late-game execution also became a problem with both Randle and Thibs to blame. The defense had some rough moments. We get to it all, and later touch on the OG Anunoby rumors that seem to be heating up.

The Knicks dropped one against the Jersey Boys like they usually do. This time around the three-point defense was awful. Guys were late getting out and made slow rotations. The Knicks also couldn't keep up with Kyrie Irving in the fourth. Kyrie is a star. Stars help you win. The Knicks have no star. We also get to our progress reports later in the show.

Two huge victories has my confidence a little higher this weekend. The Knicks grabbed a big overtime victory last night at the Fake Garden named after some shitty bank. Randle dominated, the bigs executed well defensively, and I thought the bench was pivotal to the Knicks' success. There were some things I didn't like of course, but we discuss it all right here in the latest ep. of the pod.
