You and I are called to be bridge builders for such a time as this, to showcase what God is like in this moment of pandemic fears and racial pain in America.
First a conversation about how God displays his beauty in creation. We see how beautiful and immense God is in a sunrise, in the starry host at night. And we are to take our cue from our Creator—to put God on display in how we respond to the chaos shaking our country. Then we talk about how we are God’s representatives in the world, we are bridges from God to people, we are to be bringers of heaven to earth. We are called and commissioned to bring healing, hope, and truth to the hurting. What a moment in time to bring healing to the hurting!
And finally a conversation about how God created a bridge between ourselves and him through Jesus. But the bridge isn’t just between ourselves and God. You and I in Christ are now bridges—2nd Corinthians 5:18: God has made all things new, and reconciled us to himself, and given us the ministry of reconciling others to himself. We are reconcilers, peacemakers, and with an opportunity in every social media post or any interaction to bring people closer to God. Be a bridge!
