Prayer is powerful! It’s ushers us into the presence of God; it invites His power into our situation. Prayer calms our hearts, refocuses our minds, and refreshes our spirits!

The church I attend knows the power of prayer—they hold 21-days of prayer meetings a couple times a year. They open the doors at 7:00 am and the people flood in. A few hundred faithful children of God set their alarms and choose to rise before the sun, for the sole purpose of praying one hour each morning. I left each session full of peace and excitement!I had the privilege of sharing a short testimony and encouragement on one of the days.

The more we walk in rhythm with God, the more aligned with His heart our prayers become.

God hears our prayers, both big and small, even when all we can muster is, “help”.

He asks us, “What do you want me to do for you?”

He answers our prayers, even when we ask Him to send us some friends.

God does exceedingly more than we ask or imagine!

This becomes easier when we realize that He is the One who fills our lungs with air and keeps our hearts beating; He is the One who knit us together in our mother’s womb and He is the One who sustains our lives. He saw us before we entered this world, and He will continue to hold and carry us until we enter Heaven. He knows what we need without our ever saying a word, be He invites us to bring our prayers and petitions before His throne and hand them over to His capable care. Let's come to the Father and pray assuredly, persistently, earnestly, specifically, boldly, expectantly, and faithfully.

We find our identity as God’s children, and as brothers and sister-in-Christ; we find our purpose by looking for His plan; we discover our strength by acknowledging our weakness. We find everything we could possibly need through humbly surrendering to His authority. Submission requires drawing near to God and resisting the devil. It means humbly asking for guidance and submitting to His authority.
