Simon Boudreau is Back for the second part of his podcast episode and we pick up where we left off. Simon is telling us about the swim group he is on and how the social aspect of this group helps him to stay in shape and motivated. We ask Simon about his bike ride across all 480 Km of New Brunswick with his friend Jesse and how the entire event came about and how they got in shape for this epic challenge. Simon tells us how his Ironman background helped the two of them to train for the ride through New Brunswick.
Simon and Jesse turned this ride into a charity ride and managed to raise almost 6000$, well done. We also talk about the podcast episode that Jesse and Simon did before their ride titled (Where's the chicken broth) and we link the Utube video from their ride. A wonderful story indeed. Simon tells us how his young family stays active and train together, and how they hold each other accountable. We discuss how they have their own separate ways of doing things to help prevent injury. We also talk about the mental game puzzle that we all have to go through at one time or another, to keep on staying motivated.
We also talk about how in 2016 Simon had hit rock bottom and shortly after he picked himself up and got to work again.
