Shawna puts a high value on feeling safe which is such a challenge in an unsafe world. That’s why, “Be still and know that I am God (Ps. 46:10),” means SO much to her. Then, Jenny, a Perry and Shawna Mornings listener, in her nurse’s job, was being bullied by a doctor. That’s when she found uncommon courage to confront him, but with great tact and wisdom. 

Next, the culture says truth is like the wind, always changing, unpredictable. God says truth is like a compass; sure, unchanging, leading us to life. Then, Jenny had been struggling with her weight; she was having heart troubles and one night she was gripped by the terrifying thought, “I’m going to die in bed and I won’t be found for days.” That’swhen a supernatural peace flooded her heart.

Next, when Jesus cried, “My God why have you forsaken me,” from the cross it was a signal of his resurrection and of the rescue of the world! Last, Shawna had a friend coming over who tried and tried but couldn’t find her house, so she went back home dejected. That’s when Shawna went the extra mile. It’s conversation about being “devoted to on another in love.”
