Beta: This is the level where most people's brain waves are most of the time. It is associated with concentration, learning, and everyday tasks.

Alpha: Associated with relaxation and reflection.

Theta: Associated with dreaming and vivid imagining.

Delta: Associated with accelerated healing and deep relaxation. In this state, we may lose consciousness of the body and may not remember; this level is associated with deep states of sleep and meditation.

Gamma: Once the brain has slowed down into the deepest levels of Delta, the brain does something extraordinary and unexpected; it actually dramatically speeds up the brain waves to be many times faster then Beta.
