Our unfortunate example today finds Esau treating something that is IMPORTANT as if it is UNIMPORTANT. He forgets the value, and specifically the future value of something that didn't seem valuable at this moment.
We are living before God in a kingdom that values stuff different than the culture around us. Join me for 7 minutes to get our assessment tools right.

God would love it if you asked Him a real WHY question today. It is a sign of a real inquiry, of a real God, in a real situation. He loves this sort of stuff.
Listen 7 minutes as we see this wisdom pour out of people from a while back: Isaac and Rebekah.

When we ask something of the Lord, we rely on His history with us. We remember what we know of God to help us in our posture before Him. When we ask for the Lord to PROSPER us in some way, we are asking that He come from THERE and help us HERE.
Our petition relies upon the recollection of the previous revelation of God. God's HISTORY yesterday helps us when we ask for His PRESENCE today.
The Lord prospers a prepared petition. He responds to His prepared, faithful, expectant, humble people sincerely inquiring of Him. He loves people that are in a hurry to be obedient. Then, when they see it, they worship because God Showed Up. Listen or watch 7 minutes to be ready for God prospering you.

You have got a big decision before you. How do you figure out what God wants? Well, this is not the first time in history that God has interacted sovereignly with a willing people. Abraham and his trusted servant are great examples of this.
Join me for 7 minutes as we watch these folks do a wonderful job of discerning God's will.

Sarah leaves this earth without receiving the homeland promised to Abraham. In fact, they had to BUY LAND even to bury her.
So she leaves this life still hoping in a better kingdom; seeking a true homeland, and desiring a better country, that is a HEAVENLY ONE. We probably will too.

Abraham demonstrates a "resurrection-caliber" faith in his obedience to the Lord. He believes that the Lord is able to bring Isaac back to life from the dead.
This is important to us today, because we too are asked to have this same faith. We demonstrate it by what we believe about the Cross and Jesus' death and resurrection. Also, we need this regarding our OWN disposition after we die. Does God have the power to raise people from the dead? Listen 7 minutes.
What would Abraham's license plate say? I thing it would proclaim, "FIRST IN FAITH", specifically, "First in RESURRECTION Faith." We know this because the New Testament and the Old Testament tell us he believed Isaac would be raised from the dead.
Similarly, we too must each ask what would be on our license plate. Would we too have resurrection faith? Could my license plate say "1 millionth in Resurrection faith?"

How long is God going to LAST? Does He, or does our relationship with Him come with an expiration date?
Today we hear that His Person is forever; His PROMISES are everlasting; and His NAME will never end. He is the God of EVERLASTINGNESS. This is the name by which we call upon Him today. Join me for 7 minutes to hear of El 'Olam.
