|| ABOUT THIS MESSAGE || Pastor Emmanuel emphasizes the transformative power of wrestling with God's Word. Drawing from Acts 17:10-15, he challenges us to engage with Scripture not passively, but actively, through questioning, searching, and seeking truth. He reminded us about the importance of context, curiosity, and expectation when studying the Bible, similar to a wrestling match where God's truth is the ultimate victor. Through personal testimony and Scripture, he illustrates that true transformation happens when we confront God's word with humility and a willingness to change.

|| ABOUT THIS MESSAGE || As Pastor Jerry walked us through Acts 17:1-9, he reminded us that the ultimate purpose of our lives is to point others to Jesus; just as Paul did. The early church, despite having no power or status, caused a disruption in the best possible way for God's Kingdom — transforming entire cities through acts of love, courage, and faith. We don't need a seminary degree to reach others for the Kingdom! Finally, Pastor Jerry calls us to recognize that Jesus is not just a life coach; He is Lord. True discipleship means surrendering every area of our lives to Him, from our relationships to our finances, and living for the Kingdom of God.

|| ABOUT THIS MESSAGE || This Sunday, we wrapped up Acts 16 with the story of Paul and Silas being released from prison. Pastor Jerry reminded us of the importance of praising God in the middle of life’s darkest trials, just as Paul and Silas did. We may face days, weeks, or entire seasons where life feels hopeless. However, we know that Jesus is with us in every moment of our lives, even when the world may treat us unfairly and times are tough. Let’s respond with love towards others and continued worship this week.

|| ABOUT THIS MESSAGE || Pastor David walks us through the story of the slave woman in Acts 16. This woman was not only physically enslaved by owners who profited off of her, but she was also spiritually enslaved by a demon. This story reminds us that while we walk around in a world that's filled with both physical and spiritual darkness, we serve a God who brings light! Through this message, Pastor David invites us to walk in the true freedom and strength that can only be found in Jesus. Throughout this week, let's pray about what we need to be freed from in order to walk in the fullness that the Lord has for us.

Acts 16:16-25
|| ABOUT THIS MESSAGE || God is working! As Rachel walked us through part of Acts 16 yesterday, we saw how God used Paul to minister to Lydia. A wealthy Roman female business owner may have not seemed like the most likely candidate to be a recipient of the Gospel in the first century, but Paul’s obedience led to her accepting Jesus and practicing generosity. If the good news of Jesus is indeed for all people, who do we have the opportunity to share our faith with? Let’s partner alongside God where He is working in the lives of our friends, coworkers, and others!

Acts 16:11-15
|| ABOUT THIS MESSAGE || What do we do when God closes a door? Do we stubbornly continue to knock and wait there for it to open? Do we give up on our faith in God? Do we barge in recklessly? As Pastor Jerry looked at Paul's story in the Book of Acts, we saw that the best response to this difficult situation is to keep doing what the Lord has called us to. We never know what lies on the other side of obedience! Whether we're believing for other doors that God may open, or we're trusting Him with a door just closed, let's pray that the Holy Spirit would help us to respond correctly when God says no.

Acts 16:1-10
|| ABOUT THIS MESSAGE || Pastor David walked us through Acts 15:35-41, where Paul and Barnabas had a sharp disagreement. While this disagreement led them to separate, it didn't end their relationship, or more importantly, their mission. While disagreements are bound to happen, we shouldn't let them ruin relationships! Through this message, we're reminded that our mission of pointing people to Jesus is much more important than any disagreement, ego, or agenda that may stand in the way.

Acts 15:36-41
|| ABOUT THIS MESSAGE || Pastor Jerry referred to the passage he shared during this year's Vision Sunday. Similar to the friends of the paralyzed man in Mark 2:1-12, we're willing to do whatever it takes to point people to Jesus. In hopes of best serving our community, Pastor Jerry shared that we'll be entering this next season of ministry as an independent church. Pastor Jerry walked us through what the last several years have looked like, and how our leadership team has prayerfully made the decision to join the Foundry Network. We then closed out the morning by ordaining our Senior Ministry Team! All this to say, Celebration Sunday was an amazing reflection of the heart of Beach Church. We can't wait to continue walking in the fullness that God has for us. Thank you to everyone who has been Faithful to the Mission over the last year - none of this would be possible without you!

Mark 2:1-12
|| ABOUT THIS MESSAGE || As we walked through Acts 15:19-35 yesterday, Pastor Jerry reminded us of our highest priority as Christians - to reach those who do not know Jesus. We have a great opportunity to create safe spaces for people around us who have questions about faith. As we move through the routine of our daily lives, let's seek to make pointing people to Jesus a priority!

Acts 15:19-35
|| ABOUT THIS MESSAGE || As Pastor Jerry led us through Acts 15:1-18, we were reminded that the good news of the Christian faith is that we're saved by Jesus and nothing else! The early followers of Jesus came into a disagreement as they went back and forth over the need of circumcision for Gentile believers. The issues we may face today are different, but one thing is clear, our salvation comes from Jesus alone. As we move throughout this week, let's rely on Scripture as we make decisions and interact with others.
