He highlights how God provided for, sustained, and protected the Israelites in many ways. Matthew reminds us that God should be the Lord and Saviour of our lives. Anything we place above Him becomes an idol, taking the place where He alone should reside. To truly make God our Lord and Saviour, we must repent, surrender, and trust in Him, recognising that He is everything to and for us.

Although this season can be difficult, it is not without purpose. He reminded us that God is not distant in our struggles; He is with us and fully understands. This is because God Himself came down from heaven and entered into human experience, enduring pain and suffering and ultimately bearing it on the cross. Raj encouraged us to remember that God is victorious. Whatever we may be experiencing now is only for a season, made certain by the finished work of the cross.
