Ellen dives into The Magicians, from Brakebills and Fillory to the show’s darker take on magic, including why spells, quests and enchanted worlds do not automatically fix your problems.

Meanwhile, Becca heads to a galaxy far far away with The Mandalorian, talking Baby Yoda, bounty hunters, space western vibes, Star Wars lore, and why a man in a helmet manages to have an emotional arc with a small green alien, who acts a bit like a Gremlin.
