BeansTalk

This week the beans talk about the recent Pokemon Presents event. We also talk about the State of Play, whatever there was to talk about. And we also talked a little bit about Zack Snyder. But most importantly we got furious at the recent Pokemon reveals.

Get it? because it was all low quality and disappointing. Anyways the beans do discuss the February 2021 Nintendo Direct, possibly the biggest disappointment of the year so far. Pyra in smash, Fall Guys exists, ports of games that have been around a while, and no Breath of the Wild 2 this was by far the worst Nintendo Direct.

This week the beans lost Kevin to the Shadow Realm... he'll be okay. We talk about the partnership between Netflix and Nintendo ending so abruptly. And we revel in the inevitable death of Google Stadia.

This week the beans talk about the wild GameStop stock situation. We try to be as succinct and accurate as we possibly can and we definitely don't accuse anybody of any shenanigans. If you haven't had the situation explained to you well enough, come sit with us.

This week Chris watched Wonder Woman 1984 and has a lot to say about its writing and plot. We discuss the main plot, story elements, and many details in the film and come to a final conclusion. If you've seen the film and would like to hear somebody else's thoughts on the movie this is for you. If you would rather not pay HBO Max to be able to watch a film that is being critically panned, I'm not legally allowed to say you should listen to our recounting of the film, but you can make your own decisions.

Well, we're back. Starting the year off strong I guess. The beans come back from a short hiatus to talk about what we got done at the end of 2020 and what we plan to take on in 2021. We also talk about Wonder Woman 1984 and Boruto.

This week the beans have to talk about the Game Awards 2020. And boy are we all disappointed, we knew it was unrealistic, but we still hoped The Last of Us Part 2 wouldn't win any awards. There were a lot more games announced than awarded during the night so we talk about and get hyped for new Dragon Age, Left 4 Dead, Nier, and Mass Effect games. We mostly have a lot to get upset about, most things we wanted to win didn't and a lot of games didn't even get recognized this year. How many game journalists and Last of Us fans can we piss off with this episode? Just wait until next week.

This week the beans prepare for the "biggest week in gaming" when we talk about the nominees for the Game Awards. We have limited knowledge of Esports and Indie games, but we do have a lot to say about the biggest releases of the year. More than anything Kevin has something to say about The Last of Us Part II vs. Ghost of Tsushima. And Chris will do his best to explain the triumphs and faults of Final Fantasy VII Remake. And Ismat will never get off of Crusader Kings III... like at all. What's our Game of the Year and will we be able to predict who will win the Game Awards this year?
