In this week's episode, we talk about the birth of Jesus, specifically the conception made through the Holy Spirit. We discuss the importance of why God needed to send his son as human. It's important to understand more than just the meaning of Jesus' birth, but that he was both divine and human. He was both man and God. We also discuss this very same event foreshadowed 700 years prior to the birth through the prophet Isaiah. Join me as we reflect on this beautiful event that forever changed the world. 

In today's episode, we discuss Mother Mary's endeavours right before the birth of baby Jesus. We look at what her life was like before this and the judgements she would've had to endure as a young soon-to-be wife. We look at her godly characteristics and personality to be chosen to take on such a blessing, her bravery to own this role, her obedience to the Lord to carry this precious baby, and her perseverance and resilience through the society's judgements. Mary is a perfect example and role model of obeying the Lord and doing what is expected of her, regardless of the world's opinions. She was also Jesus' sweet companion, always following him and listening to his teachings. And she was never afraid to stand up for what she believed in, always encouraging those around her to follow Christ. However, she also endured the worst heartbreak a mother could go through, and that was to watch her precious baby die and be crucified in front of her very eyes. If there is anything I hope you learn from this episode, is that during this Christmas season, we remember and reflect on the values this Godly woman had. She is everything and more that I hope to be. 

As we are nearing the month of December, specifically Christmas, I wanted to launch the next couple of Christmas episodes beginning with the whole reason for this season...Jesus Christ, a King like no other. I'm a huge Christmas fanatic and I think it's important to recognise why we celebrate this season. In this week's episode we are going to be talking a little about our King. This King however, was not one who wore royal garments and associated with higher class people. He was and is a King like no other, and a complete opposite to what today's society would portray as a King. Join me as we dive a little into the character of this King who also is our very own father, protector and provider.

Or are you just stuck... not knowing what is expected of you?Well can I tell you that t is no accident that God placed you on this earth. He knew about you when he commanded there to be light! You were created with a purpose. To know and love him, and to be loved by him. We were created in Christ Jesus to do good works and to be Christ like. We are put on this earth to make a contribution and represent Jesus in all that we do. Join me in diving into the word and finding out what it is that God wants from you. You were created with such a purpose, and a beautiful one at that. 

Just like Moses having to face his ultimate obstacle, the Red Sea, I know there must be some obstacles standing in your way right now that you just want removed so that you can get to the other side. But God didn't remove Moses' Red Sea. He instead made a way when there seemed to be no way. But you can't cross that Red Sea if you are not willing to get up and stop complaining. God is all ready for you to cross, he's already created a path for you to go down where you can get to the other side without your obstacle prohibiting you from doing so. In today's episode, we are going to talk about how God is waiting for you to cross the Red Sea. He will take care of the journey, all you have to do is get up and follow his lead. 

Do you know that the same power that rose Jesus from the dead lives within you? Yes, you! For God did not give you a spirit of fear but a spirit of fear, but of power and love, and of a sound mind. So with that same power that has been given to you, use it to silence the enemy. The one that prowls like a roaring lion, ready to steal, kill and destroy. The enemy loves to see us miserable and loves to extinguish our faith, but use that power that God gave you to silence him. Silence him before he silences you. Tell him no more! Resist the devil and he will flee from you. And in today's episode we're going to be talking about just that... using that power to silence the enemy, so that he may think twice before attacking you. 

In today's episode we discuss the importance of letting go and letting God! I think many times our default reaction to any stressful or worrying issues in our lives, is to try and take control of the situation which ultimately heightens our anxiety even more. But I want to remind you that taking point in any areas of your life is not our role nor is it our responsibility. You see, there's a God who unlike us, IS actually in control of everything that occurs in our lives. All we need to do is completely trust him. Trust him that he knows better than you. Trust him that he goes before you. Trust him that he will never leave you nor forsake you. I think the more reliant we become on God, the easier it us for us to get some rest. So, let's do our part by letting go and giving it to God, and God will do his part by taking care of it. 

As a Christian, it's so important to wear an armour of protection each day. The enemy goes around roaring like a lion ready to prowl when you least expect it. So in order for you to be ready and armed to attack back or defend yourself, you need to wear the greatest protection out there - The Armour of God. In this week's episode we talk about this mighty armour and the power each piece of protection holds. Don't give the enemy an easy battle to win. Fight back! Wear this armour everyday before you go about your day so that you may be equipped and ready for whatever trials the enemy brings. 

If there's one thing that God insists we do not become, it is to live like a lukewarm Christian. The Lord says it is better to be either hot or cold, rather than lukewarm. To live a lukewarm faith simply means that you have neither rejected Jesus, but you aren't living for him either. In today's episode we discuss what it means to live a lukewarm Christian lifestyle, the dangers of being lukewarm, and some steps to help guide you to leave that lukewarm Christian faith. I too, used to live like a lukewarm Christian, but can I tell you how much more content, and happy I have become leaving that middle ground. Don't feel ashamed or guilty if you too identify yourself as a lukewarm Christian, because in today's episode, the Holy Spirit will speak to you as he sees fit. 

To commemorate the 10th episode release of the Bearing Fruit podcast, it’s only fitting to discuss the meaning behind bearing fruit. In this week’s episode we discuss how important it is to remain in Christ and Christ in us for us to bear fruit. If you are not sustaining that relationship with God, your fruit becomes rotten and inedible. He is the vine, and we are the branches. No branch can bear fruit on its own or neither will they be able to do anything without the vine. Jesus sets the precedent through the Fruits of the Spirit, of how we Christians should be living. He gives us 9 fruits of the spirit that should be exemplified every day in our lives. So, friends, are you fruit-bearers?
