If you even think about blaming this latest ass-whooping on Caleb Williams, you need to check yourself. The Lions came fired up and ready for a statement game against the Bears after they took their biggest asset by making him the head coach. NO quarterback is coming back after their defense gives up a total seven touchdowns and five in a row for the uppercut punch. Caleb actually played well considering the circumstances. Ben and his team will learn from this and get better.

Caleb is learning a new offense and we all knew this would take time, even himself. To over-react now would be RIDICULOUS. Let's put this into perspective: Even Matt Nagy lost his his first game to a division rival, yet still ended up 12-4 and won the division in his first season as Head Coach. RELAX BEARS FANS! Game one started off really well, then once again the wheels fell off. Ben Johnson learned from his first game as Head Coach. Let's remain optimistic and try not to overreact. The Defense was missing 3 starters and gave up 27 points. The team will improve when the Defense gets healthy.
