Memphis Tigers basketball is facing a roster crunch after 19 players, including Jalen Washington, were granted a fifth season of eligibility. The temporary injunction from a Nashville chancellor allows these players to return, and Penny Hardaway's staff shakeup adds to the uncertainty. In this episode, we break down the most important position battles, from the starting center spot to point guard and wing depth.

We discuss how Jalen Washington's return could impact the lineup, with Sean analyzing the need for rim protection and spacing. Quante Berry's clutch performance against Tulane is highlighted, and we debate whether the Tigers should go big or small. The point guard battle features Quante Berry and potential new faces, while the wing spots are open for shooters and defenders. We also predict that some players will enter the transfer portal as the roster becomes crowded.

Penny Hardaway is returning to Memphis, and the coaching changes mean new schemes and fresh competition. The Tigers finished eighth in the American last season, but with this roster turnover, there's potential for a turnaround. We predict Memphis finishes in the top four of the AAC and makes a tournament run, but only if the coaching staff solves these position battles quickly.
