This third weather-inspired song by Tom has guest vocalist Scott Besaw singing lead. Scott teaches music at The Old Town School Of Folk Music and often performs live around Chicago. His shows are always a blast - check out the schedule at Scott's website.

Sometimes we dig ourselves in a hole. Sometimes we dig others in a hole. Sometimes others dig us in a hole. This song does all three.

Back in 2006 our band started working on writing and recording music for our project, TheSongOfTheDay.com where we released one song for each day of 2007. As a result of this intense undertaking, our band had to take a break from playing live. When we returned in the Summer of 2009, Jason, one of our guitar players opened up his guitar case and realized he hadn't played his live electric guitar for 3 years. Instantly, John, our drummer, came up with this song.

Inspired by the book Musicophilia by Oliver Sacks . An earworm (or brainworm as Sacks espouses) is that catchy melody that sticks in your brain that you just can't shake.

While the name of the song is a Spinal Tap reference, this one is almost a period piece, taking us back to the early 80s when record players and mixtapes were how we listened to and shared our music.

If you've ever been to Indiana, you'll know where this song came from. Trust us, the dude from Indiana is still out there...driving the highways and dirt roads of Indiana...with his stereo blastin' Carlos Santana at 11.
