Beatnik Turtle's Song of the Day

Another song from our successful attempt to complete an entire album of songs within February of 2007 for Record Production Month (www.rpmchallenge.com). Holmes! pulled out the Devo card to Matt's lyrics and we were only more than happy to oblige.

The pre-release of this album, entitled "All In A Day's Work", is currently available at iTunes.

Our customer service anthem! An ode to retail workers!

This song is from our forthcoming album, ALL IN A DAY'S WORK. (The pre-release of the album is already available at iTunes, and the CD's will be available in September.

Here's another great song by Holmes. Features Tom Roper on the 12-string.

Daaaaave. Come out, come out, wherever you are.

Since today is a Monday, but yet not a work day in the U.S., we dedicate this song to all those consultants not working today. It's from our forthcoming album, ALL IN A DAY'S WORK. (The pre-release of the album is already available at iTunes, but the CD's not due until October...probably because the CD duplicators all have hired consultants.)

Indie musicians unite! We recently came across a podcast that talked about IndieGuide.com and our book, The Indie Band Survival Guide. The podcast, called Starship Smellyprise, is hosted by DJ Smellsogood. We enjoyed the energetic podcast so much that we couldn't help but create a song out of it. This song features clips from the show including call-in guests and DJs such as Goofy Bone. To check out the podcast go here and also be sure to listen to DJ Smellsogood and Goofy Bone's music. Part two of the podcast about IndieGuide can be found here.

Merry morning after Christmas. Although it's stated in the song, we don't advocate leaving the ornaments on the tree and pretending it isn't over when in fact it is. See Take It Down, particularly the line "lazy son of a bitch" for more info.

Santa doesn't like you, but hey, he doesn't like Beatnik Turtle either, so it's all good. This is a live version of the title track from our "Un-Holiday" album available at the iTunes.

Sometimes you gotta take advantage of a situation. And Christmas is no exception.

The myths we all grow up with come full circle in today's song.
