Sometimes it would be nice if the world were just a little quieter.

One of the first Beatnik Turtle Twittersongs, this one was inspired by a Twitter post from Mur Lafferty. She had posted this tweet: "kitchen clean, fridge cleaned out. WHY do I keep saving food?" That prompted us to look into our fridge where we spotted several species of scary substances.

Based on our most recent TwitterSong, this week's song, Long Lasting Battereez was based on a Twitter post from Heather Welliver who posted "Oh noes my battery is getting low!" a few weeks ago. We couldn't resist making a song about this!

This song was inspired by a tweet posted by our Twitter friend Fitz about his being his Mom's tech support.

The original demo for this song closed the very first week here at TheSongOfTheDay.com in 2007. We always had it in mind for this song to be the closing booked for a kid's album, which of course became our forthcoming album When I Was Your Age to be released later this year. Many of the songs from the album have appeared at TheSongOfTheDay.com these past weeks.

Looking back at waking up in the morning as a kid reminds us how we developed that dislike for getting up in the morning.
