Sometimes it would be nice if the world were just a little quieter.

Yet another of those songs that has it's genesis in something said rather off-handedly only to be followed by the phrase, "Hey, that would make a great song!" After picking up Tom Roper and Tom Beeyachski to head to the studio to record, Jason asked Tom B. if his wife Kim was meeting up with them later. Tom replied, "No, Kim bailed." And later that day the three of them wrote this song.

Sometimes life corrects your faults and deficiencies on their own. And, after awhile, you find yourself becoming less unique and more and more...average.

It's another song featuring "Dave" and a famous quote from an infamous fictional computer.

Originally a minimalist composition written for a music class, Tom added a lot for The Song Of The Day which kinda defeated the purpose.

This subtle song about encouraging someone with "dreams to destroy the earth" is a remix of the original from our Cheapass Album - an entire album of songs based or inspired by the quirky games of Seattle's Cheapass Games.

The concept for this song came when Matt Scholtka came up with the lyric "I'm not your type I'm not inflatable." He also had the "no night stand" idea as well. From there, Jason and Carrie Bruno (who's singing) blew it up into this would-be dance club hit.

This song was commissioned by Steve Levy for the Steve Levy Show. The title came about in the control room of the studio when Randy commented "It's like a bucket of cool..."

Today's date is 7-7-07 and so it's only fitting to have Holmes! take the reigns of TheSongOfTheDay and sing his "Lucky 7." It's also fitting in that our friend and fellow song-writer Matt Scholtka gets married today. We'll be hoisting 7 vodka tonics to the lucky couple! We wish them all the best!
