Her transparency, her vulnerability, and her passion for the women she serves, including ME, hits to the core of God's meaning of serving your fellow man! 

Jeannie is the creator and host of PATH - Post Abortion Healing and Transformation, a private Facebook group specifically for those of us with abortion experiences in our past. Like me, Jeannie suffered with the shame and guilt of her abortion for DECADES...not knowing what was causing her to make the life choices she was making.

Her story is one not only for women who have had abortions, but also women who suffer through life circumstances and just feel LOST.

She has found the PATH back to God!

1 John 4:8  tells us that God is Love and we would be hard-pressed to prove differently. However, it is difficult for us to grasp the true depth of God's love for us. Paul says that he prays that we "may be able to comprehend with all the saints, what is the length and width, height and depth of God's love..." (Ephesians 3:18)

We know that God loves us because we see it in His Word. But to receive that Love, we have to meditate on what God says through scripture. It is then that we can remove the separation of shame from our lives and fully commune with God.

Our mistakes can never separate us from the love of God.  Therefore, we must stop condemning ourselves for our past choices and allow God to fully penetrate our hearts and lives.  It is THEN that God can fully use us for His purpose and His glory.

This week on Beauty Beyond the Ashes Podcast with Tonya B. Jones, I chat with my girl, Becky Girola. She is the Director of the ABC Pregnancy Resource Center in Lake Charles, LA and she gave us some real BIBLICAL  resource in this episode.

Many of us don't understand suffering and the sovereignty of God. I know it was hard for me. However, as I have come to know God more and His love for us, I understand better His sovereignty. The sovereignty of God, faith and belief are all partners. They all point to what is important...LOVE! Loving God and Loving each other!!! It's a mandate!

Becky really speaks God's truth on this topic along with other key points in working with women with abortion experiences and those who are abortion-minded.

The Bible is full of scripture that tells us the importance of our thoughts. Romans 12 tells us that we must "renew" our minds. Renewal implies that there is something OLD that needs to be removed for the NEW.

Although undesired and unwanted thoughts may enter our minds, we definitely have the choice what is we NURTURE in our minds. We have the means and the power to combat the lies of the enemy so that we live in the truth of God's Word. Your thoughts are truly your choice!

This week on Beauty Beyond the Ashes Podcast with Tonya B. Jones, my friend and sister in the ministry, Latoya Mathews shares how "risking it all to get healing" is well worth it.

Latoya got to the point it was either healing  or death  and she knew she had a daughter and husband who needed her. So she risked exposing her shame so that she could find the healing offered by God through Jesus Christ.

"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord." 1 Corinthians 15:58

The AMPC version says "always abounding in the work of the Lord [always being superior, excelling, doing more than enough in the service of the Lord]..."

The abortion experience is a life-altering experience for many who have walked that path.  But the grace extended by God will walk you into a God-glorifying life...if you TRUST HIM!!! 

Many times our purpose is birthed through our pain. I know that is the truth for me. It is also the truth of my guest on the upcoming episode of "Beauty Beyond the Ashes Podcast with Tonya B. Jones."

Mrs. Lovette Vassar, a true angel for me and so many others, found her purpose in her pain.  She now speaks love and life into so many women and men to help them find forgiveness and peace... ("always abounding in the work of the Lord [always being superior, excelling, doing more than enough in the service of the Lord]..."

Her pain was NOT in vain!!! MY pain was NOT in vain!!!

AND neither is YOURS!!!!

What about you? What is YOUR calling? What is that "customized life purpose that God has ordained and equipped you to accomplish in order to bring Him the greatest glory and achieve the maximum expansion of His Kingdom." ~ Tony Evans

God has given each of us a purpose and has called each of us to fulfill that purpose. And in doing so, you will find the greatest experience you have ever had. But you have to be very honest with yourself to know if YOU are walking in that calling.

Happy New Year!!! I'm back from holiday break and excited to kick off the new year.

2023 is going to be an amazing year for me AND FOR YOU!!! It is a year of FORGIVENESS and HEALING!!! Claim that with me!!!

I am excited to move to the next level of God's calling in my life. That means things are about to get REAL real!!!  No more hiding!!! No more altering the course!!!

A woman of Faith can sometimes love God and be on fire for Him.  She can understand scripture and know that God is a forgiving God. However, there are times when it's not God who needs to forgive her...It is SHE herself that needs to extend the forgiveness.

We are given the gift of forgiveness but sometimes allow Satan to steal it by holding on to shame and guilt. We live in condemnation for a decision they we have made. Women of faith often struggle with forgiving themselves for their abortion choice. The shame and guilt build a wall between the woman they live as and the life God has purposed for them. Post-abortive healing can be very layered.  After God's forgiveness, the first layer is to forgive yourself.  There is work that needs to be done in this area.

If you are post-abortive, are you ready to be free of the pangs of guilt that creep up? Are you ready to stop running from your past decision? Are you ready to live in freedom? I believe it's time.

WHOA!!!!! That's how I felt when I went to THE NEXT LEVEL in my healing journey.  Although I knew that healing is an ongoing progress, I had a real "spiritual" awakening when God took me to the next level.

My healing journey began with forgiving myself for my painful past decisions that I had never dealt with or resolved. Stepping into and embracing the forgiveness that God had already extended, I found freedom and purpose.  But when an event happened that triggered some emotions that were unknown, I used the process I created to navigate those feelings. 

In this episode of Beauty Beyond the Ashes, I share how the level of healing I experienced on the other side of that exploration was BEYOND imaginable. God took me to another level of healing and liberation that I didn't even know I needed. I truly began to understand that HEALING IS PROGRESSIVE!!!
