Welcome back to our mid-week podcast. Today we are continuing in our Paint by Numbers series and talk about God’s grace and love and when God gives us things that we don’t deserve. Scripture is Romans 5: 6-11.
The beginning of the story isn’t us screwing up, the beginning of the story is God loving us. The beginning of our story isn’t that we tolerable, awful people. The beginning of our story is that we were so loved by God, that God loved us into being. -Pastor Jeremy Scott
Scripture this week is Romans 5:6-11
“We have to be careful about who we’re tuning out. We live in a world where it’s so easy to only hear from those we know we already agree with. What messages from God are we missing out on because they come not from the inside, not from the powerful, but they come from the outside in an unexpected form. What guidance, what opportunities are we denying ourselves just because they come in a form we did not expect?”
-Pastor Jeremy Scott.

We continue this awesome sermon series with a mid-week follow-up podcast about the shepherds. Scripture is from Luke 2:8-20.
How many of walk around feeling like sometimes we are not worthy of being loved? That the good news is for somebody else….and that this great thing that God is doing must be for somebody more important than I. At the very beginning of the story of Jesus, God wanted to make insanely clear that the good news is for everybody. The circle is so wide that it includes everyone. God’s love is that big.
Scripture is Luke 2: 8-20

Part two of our mid-week podcast series on the Crazy Friends and Family of Jesus.
Scripture is: Matthew 1:18-25
We all learn a lot more through our failures than we ever do our successes. God often times talks to us, works with us, grows in us, not through those things that are easy and in the times that are good, but through the things that are hard and in the times when it feels like there is no hope for us. -Pastor Jeremy Scott

When the angel comes to Mary and says, “This cool thing’s going to happen, this amazing thing is going to happen this world-changing thing is going to happen and people for generations will be blessed by what you do.” But the angel leaves out one important detail, which is, “by the way, though, for you, it’s probably not going to feel like a blessing”. -Pastor Jeremy Scott

“None of us stands alone…..we are all part of a team. Sometimes we see it, sometimes we don’t. Whose work are we placing in our lives that we don’t recognize, that we fail to notice?” -Pastor Jeremy Scott
Scripture is Ruth 4:1-7, 13-17

“Where is God trying to work through someone else to bless your life? Are we paying attention? Do we see it? And where is God working thorough us to be a blessing for someone else? God’s going to do it either way; it’s much better if we notice.” -Pastor Jeremy Scott
