“Some of us are dealing with stuff we can see from the outside. Some of us don’t get to hide what our needs are. A lot of us are dealing with stuff that we can hide away if we want to….we can just not talk about it. People can ask us about how we’re doing we we can say, ‘fine’. We can probably do that for a while. …God expects us, when we need help, to ask for it. Because doing so isn’t about weakness; it’s about strength.”
-Pastor Jeremy Scott

“It’s a little too easy for me to look around and complain about where everything is going wrong and what I don’t have and where life is hard and where the challenges are. Ruth shows us a different way. She says, ‘I am who I am; I am now with you. Your people are my people, and I’m not giving that up just because things got tough’.” – Pastor Jeremy Scott
Pastor Jeremy Scott – “There was profuse thanks to God for the roof, and no mention of me! Or my team, or our group of people or 18 months of making phone calls and talking to people in New York and soliciting money…all the thanks went to God.

“So no matter what you can give…on the pledge card, in time, here, at your job, whatever it is…always remember no matter how small it may seem to you, it may be a very big deal to somebody else and I promise you it’s big deal to God. So you’re right, if you’re thinking we can’t do everything. But, we can do something.” -Pastor Jeremy Scott

Every 5th Sunday our Youth Group hosts the Worship service. Listen as our youth speak to filters that we use on ourselves, as well as with others. From Shea McCauley, age 13, “You can use filters if you want. Just remember, the next time you use a filter – that you’re beautiful and you don’t need filters in everyday life.”

“We don’t always know when God is going to ask us to be caretakers of each other. We don’t always know when the opportunity is going to come up for us to be God’s image-bearers for those around us. Often times it surprises us. Often times, we can’t really prepare. The question is….do we truly believe that we are made in God’s image and do we truly believe that those people that we currently see as our opponents….are made in God’s image too? ” – Pastor Jeremy Scott
