When you think about it, kids are pretty confident when they are young. But somewhere down the line, it seems like kids learn how to less confident and self-assured, which initiates a search for external forces that will bring them self-esteem. I think school plays a major part in the development of confidence in young people. It's not totally on school the cultivate confidence in young people, but they do play a role. Listen up and you'll see what I mean.

I feel like our society and educational system conditions us to believe that if we are a natural at anything, that doesn't bring us fame, then it's not worth investing in. We should only invest time into the skills that are foreign and difficult for us to acquire. There is a time and place to take the least path of resistance, and then there are times to take the path that has already been laid for you
