Early on, Tom and his husband knew that they wanted to be parents; they just weren’t sure when they wanted to start that journey, and what that process might look like for them. Today he and I speak about the path they took via adoption in order to become the family of four that they are today!!

Christine reminds us of how it’s okay to honour what works well for us and not to allow others to make us feel guilty when we don’t hold the same value for rituals and practices the can traditionally be related to becoming parents . . . like baby showers or gender reveal parties, etc.

From Canada to Dubai, Italy, India, Kenya the conversation I have with Joseph about his family creation process is one that traverses that globe.  One thing is certain throughout it all, no matter what obstacles he was faced with, his commitment to becoming a dad through surrogacy was a challenge he was determined to meet head on.

When you have a part of your body you know you will not use and you know that there are people out there who deeply wish they had access to it, what do you do?  Well, most of us wouldn’t do anything at all.  Not Christina though. 

This week I introduce you to an egg donor that I met through social media. Her name is Christina and at the time that we recorded this episode, she was going through the process of medicating and more to be able to donate some of her eggs to a pair of hopeful dads.
