With Spring Break, there is no regular class, so here is a talk Matt gave for St. Valentine's Day, a kind of Theology of the Body class, about relationships and how man was made for more than a lofty misunderstanding of love.

We now end our exploration of the Sacraments and turn our attention toward how we live within this story that Sacraments plunged us into. Here we will talk about what morality is in general, how to determine what is immoral and moral, the two types of sin, and how virtue is the most effective antidote to sin.

We end the Sacramental life pillar with the Sacraments of Healing. Once we have received the one time Sacraments of Initiation, how are we to keep living in this state of Sacrament Grace? With the assistance of regular reception of the Sacraments of Healing. This class will talk about the importance of these Sacraments, what they are, their Biblical foundations, and how they strengthen us toward our path to Holiness!

Lent is upon us and in the wake of Fat Tuesday (or Mardi Gras in French) we will talk about how lent was the time meant particularly for those preparing to enter the Church. Following that, we begin the journey of discussing the Sacraments that you all will receive in one way or another at the end of Lent: Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Communion. We will talk about what makes them Sacraments of Initiation and how they differ from other sacraments.

The Sacrament of Marriage and Holy Orders are two sides of the same paternal/maternal coin. We are all called to love the highest calling of love is fruitful. This class talks bout the paternal/maternal aspects of both vocations and explaining how every single human being is called to be a mother or father and what that means for people who simply love single lives.

As we approach the end of the Creed, we now deal with the last parts of life on earth as a Catholic. What happens after death? What roles does the body have in the afterlife? How are we judged? Why are we judged twice (did you know that?)? Is Hell real and why would a loving God “create” Hell?

We will then transition away from the Creed and in the Sacramental life of the Church. What is a Sacrament and how does the differ from many Christian demoniyatios? How do Sacraments change they we live our life? This section is about how we insert ourselves in the story of God’s love that we just learned about in the Creed.
