Matt begins by asking the most fundamental question: Do we have a capacity for God? God may exist but if we do not have the capacity to know him, then this class is futile. If we do have the capacity, what is that capacity and how do we use it to experience God? Matt answers these and the questions that naturally follow.

There isn’t just one way to pray. The Church has numerous prayers in her inventory. Some personalities pray better by following particular ways of prayer. Matt introduces these, and other ways to pray, as well as what prayer is truly for and how it differs from a self-help book.

Why do Catholics kneel and stand? Why do they carry prayer beads? What’s a sacrament? What's the incense for? Why are the altar servers so small? Matt answers these questions and more as he walks through the traditions and actions found in the daily life of the Catholic Church.

With the Church introduced, Matt continues the conversation about the daily life in the Church with the theology found in the Mass by going through the history that made the Mass and what each of its parts mean, especially during the celebration.

Father Peter Mussett, the pastor at St. Thomas Aquinas and one of the Lanky Guys, takes the class on a tour of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, begining at the steps, all the way to the choir loft, and up to the alter.

Beginning with a guest speaker on liturgical music, Matt jumps into the “why” of Catholicism, defining how it differs from other Christian denominations, where it stands with Sacred Scripture and early Church History.

Beginning with the basics, Matt ask the question: “Who is this God guy anyway?” and dives into what it means to believe in something that begins without anything before it and what, particularly, Christianity has to do with that.

Continuing the introductions, Matt takes the class through an introduction to "happiness" and what it means.

RCIA has started up again and Matt introduces himself and the process called Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults in the Catholic Church and what it's for.

Now that the class has come to the end of the Catechism, what do we do with it? Introducing the people who go into making Ministry happen, Matt has them talk about the different ways we can be involved in the Catholic Church as Catholics.
