Episode 89
What’s the difference between controlling our emotions and regulating them? We often try to control our emotions in order to “be loving” but by doing so we actually make it harder for us to make authentic connections.
In this episode I share my experience on the difference between controlling my emotions and learning to regulate by attuning to them and the impact this has on my ability to be a safer space for myself and others.
This episode is part of a series taken from my 30 Day Instagram Live Challenge where I went on live video to speak about different aspects of the interior journey every day for 30 days straight.

Episode 88
Illness. Burn out. Relationships breaking down. Death. Losing a job. Giving birth. These are some of life’s interruptions that can throw us off our carefully planned lives and make us feel destabilised.
Our instinct is usually to over-function and overcome these interruptions, but as INTERIOR PILGRIMS we have the option of seeing these interruptions as God’s invitation for us to do the REAL work of growing in freedom, restoration and love.
In this episode I talk about how life’s interruptions can be a painful grace we need to lean into instead of fight off.
This episode is part of a series taken from my 30 Day Instagram Live Challenge where I went on live video to speak about different aspects of the interior journey every day for 30 days straight.

Episode 87
In the interior journey it's not how slow or fast you are but the quality of the energy and presence you embody that shows how much space is within you. Slowing down is a way of cultivating that SPACE within us that enables us to exercise our freedom to choose our responses.
For many of us addicted to busyness, preoccupation and speed, we may not be able to slow down with our own efforts. Even when we think we have slowed down, in reality we are not slowing down nearly enough. Listen to my sharing in this episode on how we can move towards slowing down and becoming more free.

How well do you know yourself? The more specific and concrete we can get about knowing the way we are uniquely created and how to be aligned with our design, the freer and more confident we become in making our journey and in taking up the unique mission God created us to do.
In this episode I share some real life examples of individuals who have developed greater freedom and confidence because they gotten a lot more specific in their self-knowledge.

Episode 85
We are often used to getting results in many areas of life by working harder, pushing past our limits and bypassing our weaknesses. Most of us try to approach our spiritual and interior lives in the same way when we begin to take our interior journey seriously.
Yet these methods that we default to actually backfire when we try to use them to grow in integration and authenticity and wholeness in Christ. In this episode I discuss why that is the case.
This episode is part of a series taken from my 30 Day Instagram Live Challenge where I went on live video to speak about different aspects of the interior journey every day for 30 days straight.

Many of us struggle between demanding standards of virtue and holiness from ourselves/others and being compassionate as we know we are called to be.
In this episode I invite you to observe the energy underlying your zeal or your desire to be compassionate. Are these tied to a fear of falling short somehow? Do you feel pushed or are you drawn from a place of loving freedom?
I also explain how integration will help you navigate this particular tension with greater ease and grace.

What do we need to successfully embark and stay on the interior journey? In this episode I explain three factors that we often miss out in our understanding of the interior journey - and they are Timing, Grace and Readiness.

One mark of a lack of interior integration is SPIRITUALISING. And this can have real detrimental impact on ourselves, our families and our communities.
In this episode I talk about three specific ways spiritualising can blind us from reality, keep us from actually loving, and even helps keep real evil under a spiritualised wrap.

The most difficult and courageous thing I've ever had to do in the interior journey was confront the TRUTH of my relationship with my parents and the ways they have wounded me even though they loved me the best they could.
In this episode I share why acknowledging the painful truth of how our parents have wounded us is a non-negotiable for anyone wanting to become integrated, and also how we can be hopeful even when nothing external changes.
