Casey discusses being a teen mom, our conversations around that, and how challenging it was, being in a broken welfare system, how she got off of welfare, had her second baby, met someone, and had her two boys.
Her son Chase had multiple fractures in his skull, and was in a coma, with 70% brain damage from a babysitter's abuse. He’s doing great as a 6-year-old considering, however, it was a huge life change, including a lawsuit as her second son was being born.
The kids are now 17, 14, 6, & 5. I’m so proud of Casey.
- postpartum depression after the first delivery, colicky baby
- realizing how uncomfortable I was in my own body, breastfeeding in public, and doing artwork of breastfeeding moms, recognized in the newspaper for the series
- mother wisdom unfolding and rocking the paradigm of my marriage
- learning to honor me as a mother, even when being disrespected by the father
- a single mother with teen sons, raising my eldest son after his father disowned him
- learning to make peace even if others want to make war - not being a space of division even when the family is divided
- letting go so my sons can grow - empty nest

Casey is my daughter. She is one of the 5 kids I had long-term in foster care from age 10. She is so brave and strong and I’m so proud of her for sharing her experience in foster care, how it’s still impacting her, as well as her parenting.
Continuously running away, putting herself in a mental health facility to stay safe and healthy since she couldn’t come “home” to my house. She knew she needed support to move forward in her life.
We discuss getting pregnant at 16 and how that impacted leaving the foster care system, and how the situation for 6 years has impacted us the next 17 and not in a good way. She is brave and strong and - yes - I cried.
How to talk to your children about Alzheimer's disease
How to help them understand what is happening to their grandparent/relative who has the disease
How to react/respond to them when visiting or face timing, etc. when they say things that don't make sense

I teach parents how to listen to their children into existence through emotional reflection. This is a foundational skill that deepens trust, emotional safety, and intimacy. Many parents are not emotionally competent and pass on their incompetency to their children. By learning how to be an emotional coach for your children, you will create deep peace in your family and promote resilience, emotional strength, and emotional intelligence in your children.
In his words: I am a lawyer-turned-peacemaker, author, speaker, teacher, and visionary.

-I am a father to three kinds of relationships:
(1) A son that was planned within a marriage,
(2) A daughter that was unplanned with a person who I considered to be a friend, and
(3) A daughter who is not biologically mine, and who doesn't know her biological dad, but whose birth I attended, and whose initial years were spent in my home, and calls me daddy.
-Since modern life can easily work against foundational health & family life, I spend much of my time implementing Ancient Wisdom.
-Thankfully, health in my home feels rather simple.
-I am an advocate of alternative schooling, and I have tried homeschooling at times.
-As a Holistic Health Educator, I teach my kids to understand the foundations of: Breathing, Movement, Nutrition, Lifestyle, and Mindset.
-I feel that I was a born-to-be dad, yet fatherhood definitely didn't turn out the way that my Disney mind expected, and so I've had to let go of a lot of things...

TRIGGER WARNING!
We discuss in detail Olivia's miscarriage. She is brave, honest, and strong, and I'm so proud of her willingness to speak out about her miscarriage.
Olivia's Mission: Helping Women feel Seen, Heard, and not Forgotten
The reason WHY she is so passionate about women feeling empowered through parenthood is from her first NOT great experience.
She's shared what it's like to have two kids 18 months apart, toddlers, teething, temper tantrums, sneaking chocolate, wanting to be the best parent, and sometimes feeling like you're failing WHILE going back to school to help other mamas.
She's also been on discussing both of her births and what a difference it was the second time around in the hospital - where she was her own advocate. Also, why she became a doula and what it's like to make a difference in another woman's pregnancy.
