Spent 7 years as a weekend parent in what would turn out to be an abusive relationship

BUT also had cool biz success (wedding venues)

Relationship ended because I chose to become the full-time custodial parent.

Knew I needed to get my life together but thought I was cursed.

Started reading everything. Discovered neuroscience and trauma. Pivoted dramatically.

started One Broken Mom in May 2018.

Kept evolving as I advocated for mental health awareness, parenting changes, and becoming trauma-informed

Discovered that biz success is also impacted by trauma (more often than we think)

Decided to write a book about it. Got a book deal. Wrote book for women on how culture, family, and dysfunctions set most of us up to fail in biz, and how to overcome it.

Now, focused on trauma-informed leadership and business for companies and leaders.

For me weight loss is a doorway, not a destination. (It's not what we're really searching for). And when we understand the backstory, almost all behavior makes sense, even when it's harmful behavior.

This understanding, when viewed through the lens of compassion, opens the door to genuine transformation, instead of just the next shiny object fad.

From bankrupt, divorced, and suicidal to successful thriving Christian with Brine Hamilton

- I was bankrupt and divorced by the age of 23. At my lowest time I contemplated ending my life.

- I became a Christian at the same age (23) but did not follow a linear path to recovering from the hole I had dug for myself.

- Later that year I met my future wife, followed the example I had learned from my father and started working multiple jobs to get out of the rut I was in and pay for an upcoming wedding.

- My 3rd job at the time was something I developed a passion for, healthcare security, and I spent more than a decade in this field.

- Today I have been married 14 years and have four children, a career I really enjoy and have other business ventures and am able to pursue these together with my wife.
